ALMA for Institutions

ALMA works alongside Italian Institutions worldwide—Ambassadorial offices, Consulates, Cultural Institutes, and ITA (ICE) offices—to transform the promotion of Made in Italy into a high-impact cultural and professional initiative. Thanks to its international authority, the School acts as an operational branch for the development of the national culinary heritage, offering concrete tools to engage local markets and the new generations of professionals.
The Scim

The Pinnacle of International Promotion

The Week of Italian Cuisine in the World (SCIM - Settimana della Cucina Italiana nel Mondo) represents the context of choice in which ALMA expresses its maximum potential in support of Institutions. This is not merely a celebratory occasion, but a strategic program aimed at countering "Italian Sounding" and educating the international public on the authenticity of Italian products. On the occasion of the SCIM, ALMA provides diplomatic offices and representative branches with a range of integrated services:

Masterclasses and Showcookings

Technical sessions targeted at professionals, journalists, and opinion leaders, focused on the culture of raw materials and the techniques of fine Italian cuisine. Tailored to the educational needs of the audience—such as young university and educational hub students or local professionals seeking specialization in Italian cuisine—ALMA creates ad hoc interventions, meticulously designed by our instructors.

Cultural Seminars

In-depth analyses of the history and evolution of Italian cuisine, understood as a UNESCO intangible heritage and identity asset. In this case too, ALMA, in concert with local staff, creates custom-tailored lectures on strategic topics for the education of the public involved.

Gala Dinners and Institutional Receptions

Design and management of high-representation convivial events, where excellence in service and the menu become vehicles for institutional messages. Based on a shared brief concerning the event's theme and mood, ALMA crafts a menu that is not just about taste, but a genuine experience of Italian identity. International Competitions: ALMA proposes a culinary competition format to engage young local chefs, challenged to compete in creating iconic dishes from our tradition. The winner, selected by a jury of excellence composed of ALMA delegates, along with local, institutional, and non-institutional representatives, gains access to a tailor-made course at ALMA's headquarters. This format has proven to be a formidable catalyst for attracting the attention of local media and stakeholders, allowing the dissemination of Italian culinary culture among new generations of foreign chefs in a dynamic and engaging manner.

International Competitions

ALMA has developed a culinary competition format designed to engage young local chefs, who are invited to compete by preparing iconic dishes from the Italian culinary tradition. The winner, selected by a distinguished jury comprising ALMA representatives together with local institutional and industry experts, is awarded a place on a tailor-made course at ALMA's campus.
This format has proven to be a highly effective way of attracting the attention of local media and stakeholders, while promoting Italian culinary culture among the next generation of international chefs through a dynamic and engaging experience.

Communication Projects

Complementing its training programmes, live cooking demonstrations, and gala events, ALMA can further enhance the educational and outreach value of its activities by providing support in the creation of communication materials. From video productions and recipe books to educational handouts and visual content, ALMA's faculty, together with its in-house creative and digital team, can develop complete communication packages on request, managing every stage from concept to production.
